TMA NextGen Community Service Activity

Wednesday, September 26 | 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Join your fellow young professionals for the Community Service activity at Care & Share, a member of Feeding America, in Colorado Springs.

At Care and Share Food Bank, the core purpose is to bridge the gap between hunger and abundance. Their mission is to provide food, partnering opportunities, and education to fight hunger and food insecurity in Southern Colorado.

Participants will be volunteering in the Distribution Center. Tasks will vary based on product and need, and usually is inspecting, sorting and packing food for distribution. Tasks may also include off-loading sorting food at the receiving dock, order picking and refrigerator sorting and packing. T-shirt and jeans are perfect for this rewarding work. We will provide latex gloves. Closed toed shoes are required. Volunteers must be able to stand for one and a half hours and lift 20lb.

Transportation to and from the venue will be provided. To RSVP, add it to your registration when signing up, or email Matthew Switzer at mswitzer@turnaround.org
